Life loves you

I'm in the process of reading the book 'Life loves you' by Louise Hay and Robert Holden. I'm deeply fascinated by the approach of the book. It feels like you are on this writing/self-discovery journey with them. This personal account of every step seems genuine and inclusive.

Live loves you. This is a such a positive affirmation. There is no judgement, no justification, no criticism. It's a simple statement with so much power. Truly, I feel like sometimes the world is working against us for some reasons and even though you know it's all made-up in your mind, you can't let go of the suffering. You have to give time to let the thoughts go, emotions fade away and breathe. During that instant, remember life loves you.

There is no one against you. If you don't let the sunshine in and remain in darkness, that's only because you chose to. The sun is going to shine whether you feel good or bad. It's always there. However, if you chose not to let it in due to being closed - resentment, pain, hurt- realise that in the end, you are the one suffering. By keeping the negative state, you are giving up your ability to be free. You feed in darkness. The more you let the thoughts linger, the more pain you feel. So release the pain by welcoming the light. Accept what is and let life loves you.

Life loves you. When you have a positive outlook on life, you are able to welcome in joy. You experience inner happiness because you are open. Discover and appreciate that life is a beautiful experience.

Tiny steps

I admit, I lost track again. It's alright. We all do. Things happen. Stumbles are part of the journey. To get back to life, take tiny steps. 1 single action. The key is it doesn't have to be huge, only enough to get you started again.

Consistency

You've got to be consistent in whatever you do. To improve, learn, and be successful, you've got to be committed and consistently do what you must, in order to move in the direction of your dreams. Consistency will determine the value of your determination and how far you will get. Of course, it's not an easy task- to stay focus and not lose faith. Hang in there, 0.1% improvement is always better than zero. Over time it compounds and leads to unexpected results. Be driven by the system, by the action, by what it takes. Persevere and be consistent.

Minimalism

There has been a recent movement towards minimalism, living a minimalistic life. The idea is to reduce consumption, be comfortable with what you have and live a clutter-free life.  Many of us cannot tolerate the idea is living without being surrounded by material things. We feel so comfortable in an environment of accumulation and we fail to see that our belongings are not only taking physical space but also mental space. I was slowly progressing towards clearing my space when I came across the term and it clicked. It was like the word definition to what I was going through. Although I wouldn't call myself a minimalist, I now take more care of my space. I'm more appreciative of what I have and feel less compelled to buy things. I realise material things are not valuable to us unless we are using them. With this in mind, I ask myself if I really need that item, will it bring anything positive to my life? If not, I don't need that item. I make better purchasing choic...
