Coincidence

I don't really believe in luck. It's just a mere illusion. If you didn't put any work in your job and expect to pass with flying colours with luck, you are fooling yourself. Luck is a wishy-washy thought. It just doesn't happen, unless there's a reason.

However, I do believe that everything that comes in your way is not mere coincidence. They are meant to happen and they happen for a reason. I take everything that occurs in my life as blessings. They are invaluable lessons, important learning experiences preparing me for the future.

This is it

This is going to be an honest open letter about what I've been through lately.  For a long time, I felt like I was trying but not able to contribute. There is a lot of fear surrounding what I want to create. I stumble, I fall, I rise.  It's a never-ending battle. When the mind is in play, there is always a resistant of thoughts. My thought patterns haven't been the most positive. I was a bit harsh on myself. Actually, it's like I don't know what I was doing. I was lost. I get shivers writing this. It's like these new year resolutions. You have so much hope in the future. They hardly ever come true. This is the problem: to not live in the future. I try though. To live in the present, be mindful. Let go of the past. I've read so much. This is a bit contradictory in a way. I'm constantly looking for the next book that is going to help me. Which is telling my self that I'm not okay. I'm relying on external support to make me feel bet...

Ripples of Goodness

Steph's ripples is all about making a positive impact in this world. I've spent a quarter of a century, thinking that I'm unable to make any changes to myself, my surroundings, and the world. I was self-limited and blinded to the beauty around me. After reaching what felt like the end, I'm now committed to creating a better vision of the world, by spreading goodness- love, support and knowledge.  Rohl Dahl beautifully wrote, “Somewhere inside all of us is the power to  change the world .” Welcome to this journey with me!

You have all that you need

One of the biggest learning curve in my journey was to realise that I have everything that I need. As soon as I acknowledged this fact, I stopped holding onto unnecessary material or longing for what I felt I needed. It was a huge release because I was not clinging onto a made-up world anymore. I accepted everything as it came. I felt content and so peaceful. I used to rely on external aspects of life to make my life meaningful- external support, approval, material possessions. Those things are entirely out of our control. They place you in a victim role. You expect life to unfold in a certain way, you believe that owning such and such thing will make you happy and hold onto those limiting beliefs. It's like holding onto a running water, slipping away- no control.  Once you realise that you have all that you need inside of you, it's a liberation. You don't need anything, anyone, anymore. You simply 'be'. You start living when you let go of everything that i...
