Know thyself

In Socrates' words "The unexamined life is not worth living". It might not ring a bell the first time you read those words. Once you do though, it opens a world of contemplation. It's so astounding how meaningful that simple phrase is. It holds so much power and knowledge. The thing is we don't really learn to learn about ourselves. We learn to read, write, doing maths, using the PC and what not. There is however, no subject or course about learning more about yourself. It is not in the curriculum. We don't see the value in knowing what matters to us. I realise this is why I had a hard time knowing my values, or rather acknowledging them. Our values are at the core of who we are. It's never too late

It's never too late. Till our last breath. We've got to live life to the fullest. There's no point in dwelling in the past, not accepting things that already happened. It's never too late to start living, to follow your heart, believe in yourself. Live life as it comes. Take chances. Live the life you want to live. Now.

Live a meaningful life

We spend far too much time worrying about small things. We waste our life by not living. We are not living when we: Compare Resist Deny Judge Complain Refuse to be kind Act unrespectfully  Do not follow our heart We have a high propensity to be negative. Negativity can only be associated with unhappiness and pain. Remember we have only one life and our life on Earth is limited. Make everyday count. Live every day as if it is your last. I don't want to sound pessimistic but realise that your life will be so much more rewarding if you have a purpose in life, are kind and practise gratitude. Life is meant to be lived. Be open to the beauty of each and every day.
